Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your access to and use of WhatsApp Portal. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering for an account, accessing the dashboard, or calling our REST API, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service.

2. Description of the service

WhatsApp Portal is a messaging platform that lets you connect a WhatsApp number, manage contacts, send bulk messages, run campaigns, and integrate messaging into your own applications. We offer two independent connection modes:

  • QR Code Session — you link an existing WhatsApp number by scanning a QR code from your dashboard.
  • Meta WhatsApp Cloud API — you supply your own Meta credentials (Phone Number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and access token) and messages are sent through Meta’s official Cloud API.

WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp Portal is an independent product and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, API keys, and any Meta access tokens you store with us. API keys are shown once at creation time and stored by us only as a hash — we cannot recover a lost key, but you may revoke it and issue a new one at any time.

You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your credentials.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Send unsolicited messages to recipients who have not consented to receive them.
  • Distribute spam, phishing content, malware, or fraudulent offers.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or organisation.
  • Violate WhatsApp’s or Meta’s own terms, policies, or messaging limits.
  • Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or any technical restriction of the platform.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission.

You are solely responsible for obtaining valid consent from every recipient you message and for complying with all applicable messaging, marketing, and data protection laws in your jurisdiction.

We may suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is in breach of this section, without notice and without refund.

5. Third-party platform risk

The QR Code Session mode connects to WhatsApp through a browser-based session rather than an official Meta API. Meta may, at its sole discretion, restrict, suspend, or ban any number that it considers to be in breach of its terms. You accept this risk. We do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity and are not liable for any action Meta takes against your number or business account.

When you use the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API mode, your relationship with Meta is governed by Meta's own terms, and Meta may charge you per-message fees directly.

6. SMS credits, packages, and billing

Message sending consumes SMS credits from your balance. Credits are purchased as packages, each with a stated message count and validity period. Credits that expire at the end of their validity period are forfeited.

  • Quota is reserved when a campaign is created and refunded automatically for messages that fail to send.
  • Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change for future purchases.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
  • Except where required by law, purchased credits are non-refundable once consumed.

7. API access

Your account includes REST API keys. API requests are subject to rate limits and scope restrictions. We may adjust these limits to protect the stability of the platform. We may change or deprecate API endpoints, and will make reasonable efforts to communicate breaking changes in advance.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available and performant, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access temporarily to perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency repairs.

9. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design, and documentation remain our property. You retain all rights to the content you send and the contact data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service on your behalf.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of your use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately and unused credits are forfeited unless refund is required by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the dashboard or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@yourportal.com. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
